BILL Ruto is in regular contact with his arch nemesis Raila Odinga through a relentless stream of angry, foul-mouthed emails.
The Prime Minister's spokesman said Mr Odinga's 3 years in power meant Mr Ruto would always look to him as a source of raw hatred since he lost to him ODM party’s ticket for the 2007 presidential elections.
One email from August 4th reads: "Saw you on the telly today. You look like a rat. Correct that - you look like a wet rat who's gained weight.
"Where the heck did you leave the spare staples you total arse?"
A week later Kamau writes: "As you may or may not have noticed the country is exited with the passing of the new constitution. I blame you and your ghastly friends for this.
"I wouldn't be surprised if they summoned up some kind of voodoo voters to try and make me look stupid. Well, it hasn't worked and everyone thinks I'm great, so shove it up your backside."
Ruto also wrote to Odinga after a few days after the new constitution's promulgation with President Kibaki and Kenyans from across the country:
"Kibaki said he liked me more than you and I got a ride with him on the Commander-in-Chief’s ceremonial Land Rover in March. Thought you were a bit 'slow', even for him. Ha Ha!
"I said you were like some weirdo dimwit who wouldn't take the hint and we laughed and laughed. Shit off."
Professor Tom Mak’Oloo, of University of Nairobi, said: "Bill Ruto's poll ratings are not only a boost for the PNU Party but will allow him to taunt Raila Odinga with unbridled enthusiasm."
